Q: How is this different from resales that have tables set up with different people selling their items?

A: The MotherLoad is set up to make everyone’s lives easier- sellers and shoppers. Our sellers price and tag their own items. We put them through an inspection checkpoint to make sure only good quality items are put in the sale. Our shoppers then browse our sale easily since everything is organized by size, gender, and category- much like a retail store.

Q: How much is the admission fee?

A: ZERO! There is no admission fee. We don’t penalize you for arriving when the sale opens like other resales.

Q: When are your sales?

A: We have a spring sale and a fall sale each year. Each sale lasts 3-4 days, including at least one weekday and one weekend day. Upcoming sale dates can be found on our homepage.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and debit cards. We do not accept checks.

Q: What should I bring to the sale?

A: We highly recommend you bring a laundry basket, stroller, or wagon to use like a shopping cart. If you bring a wagon, please put a laundry basket in it so your desired items do not fall on the floor. We want to take the best care of the items since they belong to the consignors (until checkout, of course). You can also attach a rope or belt to your basket and pull it along the floor. Also, don’t forget your printable lists!

Q: Can I bring my children to the sale?

A: Yes, you can bring your children to the sale. However, if your child damages any item or its packaging, you will be responsible for purchasing that item. The same rule applies if your child opens an item. The items in the sale belong to our sellers, not to us, so we ask that you keep your children under close supervision at all times. 

Q: How is your sale set up?

A: We are set up like a retail store. All items will be organized by gender, size, and category. We don’t like to hunt through boxes of mismatched merchandise either!

Q: How do I find out about your upcoming sales?

A: The best way to know about our sales is to get on our email list. We promise not to abuse your email account 🙂 After all, you will only be hearing from us before two sales a year. 

Q: How do I get early shopping privileges?

A: Sellers, volunteers, and new/expecting moms (pregnant or child under 1 year at time of sale) can all receive early shopping privileges. The New/Expecting Mom preview sale requires registration as spots are limited. Click the appropriate group for details.

Q: How do I find out about contests and giveaways?

A: We post all of them on our Facebook page, only. Go there and “like” us, and you will get to see and participate in any or all of our contests and giveaways.

Q: Will I get to keep the hangers on the clothes I buy?

A: Absolutely!

Q: Do you have fitting rooms?

A: Unfortunately, we do not have fitting rooms. 

Q: Can I return an item?

A: Due to the nature of the sale, we do not do returns. All sales are final.
